The present Atlas of Data is part of the author’s lecture courses available online. It reviews various experiments on inelastic scattering of polarized protons. The Atlas is aimed at providing a clear explanation of modern experiments related to the spin of protons, the excitation and nuclear transition densities for radioactive and stable light nuclei.
We obtained shell-model predictions for neutron and proton transition densities at the excitation of lower states of the radioactive nuclei 10C (the 2+1 level) and 11C (the 5/2- and 7/2- levels). The testing of the applied shell-model approach was based upon similar predictions for the stable 9Be nucleus. In the case of this nucleus, the corresponding and experimental data were used as control density transitions. As a result, it was established that the state in the radioactive nucleus could be assumed as essentially isoscalar. A graphical representation of the transition densities data is given in the attached Supplement. The results are shown there for both radioactive and stable nuclei. For clarity, we also provide an analysis of the literature data on transition densities for the same radioactive nuclei, based upon the AMD (antisymmetrized molecular dynamics) model. The Supplement is a test version of nuclear structures, developed by M. S. Onegin and A.V. Plavko.

Atlas of Data 5 is recommended to students studying experimental nuclear physics at universities and polytechnic schools. It can be used as a guide to understanding elements of quantum mechanics. Such a guide, in the author’s opinion, can eliminate the existing gap in the available scientific literature.
