It has long been noticed that in the troubled times of political and economic upheavals, moral catastrophes, superstition, occultism, and magic flourish in full bloom. Paradox: in an age of universal skepticism, when naivety remains the preserve of good old movies, one should only be surprised at the crowded halls and stadiums when all sorts of "healers", psychics or parapsychologists perform there. When you come to any city in our vast country, you will definitely come across an invitation to the local House of Culture, where meetings with a magician, sorcerer or seer are organized. Now, however, many "burned" at such meetings. Therefore, more and more often on advertising posters you can read that a particular sorcerer "has a certificate". Although in nine cases out of ten it is fake.
And look at the Russian press! Every more or less self-respecting publication considers it mandatory to print astrological forecasts. Many people start their next day by reading a horoscope, and compare each step with it. Does this sound like mass insanity? But how can you really imagine that, for example, all Taurus at once (and there are 15-20 million of them in the country) will have large cash winnings, and all Pisces will have quarrels with their mothers-in-law? Do not be lazy, collect forecasts of astrologers from different newspapers and magazines for at least one week and you will see that this is real nonsense. But this nonsense is not as safe as it seems at first glance. Before us is a typical example of zombification: a person, not believing in his own strength, in the will of God, obediently seeks tips on how to live today, from various magicians.
Unfortunately, even many sober-minded people think that there is "something" in astrology. I will allow myself to give two arguments against astrology from the field of theology and science.
A thousand years ago, Saint Augustine, responding to those who believe that at least sometimes horoscopes hit the nail on the head, wrote: "Since this serves to entrap people, it is the action of spirits who have been deceived, and who are allowed to know something true about temporary objects, partly because they have a finer sense, or finer bodies, or a richer experience due to their long life. Therefore, a true Christian should beware of both astrologers and soothsayers of all kinds, especially those who speak the truth, so that, having caught his soul with the help of demons, they do not confuse him into their community."
In 1937, the French psychologist L. Coudet published ads in the newspapers, 4W &I twos to send everyone a personal horoscope. Kude sent the same text to everyone: "You are an intelligent and erudite person, with a direct and honest character, but a little quick-tempered, do not tolerate irritation. Don't forget that anger is a bad adviser. In your past, favorable and unfavorable events were mixed up, there were also hindrances, some of which still have a material and emotional impact..."
In response, hundreds of people thank the "astrologer": "You changed my life", "I believed myself". And one person even asked if Kude was going to start a new religion. The psychologist summarized his experiment: "Astrology clients are trusting, influenced by others, people who have lost their balance." And he concluded: "Astrology is a shameful business."
And what can we say about the business of modern "healers"? Who calculated it (and how to measure it) the physical and mental harm they inflicted on trusting people?
For many years now, traveling around Russia, visiting monasteries and churches, I have seen enough of the former patients of such "healers". Why in monasteries? As you know, energy happens with both a plus sign and a minus sign. Having visited the reception of some "white sorcerer" or "folk healer", a person risks not only physical health .. So, in monasteries, I have seen more than once how the devil was exorcised from a person who once risked being treated by healers. And do not rush to smile skeptically at the mention of demons. A clever man once remarked:: "The devil's greatest achievement is not being believed in." It's not a sight for the faint of heart when a pretty girl lets out a deep-throated growl and gets so shaken that several healthy men can't handle it. And only prayer and holy water helped.
Here are some pictures, as they say, from nature. One of the restored monasteries in the Voronezh Region. Construction workers and pilgrims live in small trailers. Among them is a nice, intelligent, elderly woman. She was quiet, almost imperceptible. So imagine my shock when I saw a friend of mine running along the side of the trailers at the speed of a cool sprinter in the early morning. It was as if she had no control over her body, as if an evil spirit had taken possession of her and was doing whatever it pleased with her. They tried to stop her , but it was useless. Finally, someone ran into the church and began reading the Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos in front of the iconostasis. Suddenly, the woman went limp and fell limply to the grass.
Later, she told me her sad story. Something inside her hurt. The doctors considered her healthy, just suspicious, but she stubbornly wanted to get rid of the disease. And then one day the so-called "supreme shaman of Siberia" came to their town. He promised the patient a cure for all her ailments. She began to be treated by him and, imagine, felt much better. Only at night, either a spirit, or a person, or some evil spirit in human form began to appear to her. At first, he just talked to her, then began to torment her... I will omit unnecessary details, but I will only say that the woman cursed the hour when she decided to go to the shaman's appointment.
And here is another case. Tula region. A young girl, a student, suffers from her own inferiority: some guy called her a fat woman. At first, she went on a diet, but did not lose weight. And it couldn't have happened: the girl wasn't fat. People like her are popularly called big-boned. And then she went to a local psychic, who "talked" her into aversion to food. The girl really lost her appetite, began to eat much less And soon lost 16 kilograms of her 64. She began to suffer from tantrums, nightmares, and began to hear "voices". So she ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Fortunately, the parents managed to pick up their daughter from the hospital and take her to Sergiev Posad to see her father Roman. She was cured. But how many people like her are left with traumatized minds? Now, fortunately, the attitude towards the victims of "healers" is changing. Rehabilitation centers began to appear where they can be helped. They understand how much harm sorcerers do to people. So, the head of one of these centers, Archpriest Anatoly Berestov, came to the conclusion after many years of observation that often after the appeals of trusting patients to psychics, all sorts of astrologers from the astral, their close relatives get sick.
That is why the church's attitude to all "healers" without exception is unequivocally negative. Vladimir Vysotsky once sang: "Not everything that is above is from God." Do not believe when the "white sorcerer" will say that he was blessed "to serve" in some monastery, do not be deceived when during the session of the healer Orthodox attributes are used with might and main, prayers are said. This is all from the evil one. For reference: the Council of the Russian Orthodox Church held in 1994 decided to consider such "blessings", even if they were accepted due to a misunderstanding, invalid.
To make it more convincing, I will conclude with two quotes from the book, the title of which has always been written and will continue to be written with a capital letter. I mean the Bible. However, I will make a reservation that there is no mention of such words as "psychic" or "bioenergotherapist" (in those days they were not used), but this does not change the essence. This is the commandment that the Lord gives to his chosen people: "No one who leads his son or daughter through the fire, a soothsayer, a diviner, a sorcerer, a charmer, a summoner of spirits, a magician, or one who raises the dead, should be with you. For everyone who does these things is an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you "(Deuteronomy 18: 10-12).
And more. "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who keep His commandments, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and enter the city through the gate. But outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and does unrighteousness." St. John the Theologian, 22. 13-15)
P.S. According to the most conservative estimates, in Moscow, about three thousand soothsayers and other clairvoyants "cut" from visitors for 200-500 rubles for a five-minute consultation and from 1.5 to 15 thousand rubles for " removing damage and the evil eye ", the love spell of husbands and grooms
Numerous Anastasia, Fekla, Vasya do not pay a single penny of taxes on their income. Luring money from gullible people, they live in luxury and acquire real estate from their income.
They don't know anything about divination, of course. Because they can't predict the future for themselves. And for most of them, it is easy to understand, it will become gloomy. Because the State Tax Service has finally calculated the profit of this category of non-working population. In all likelihood, someone is waiting for the "long road and state house" in accordance with the Law.
