Once again about alternative civil service
Military service in our country is slowly restoring the lost status of an honorary duty. But people who diligently trampled on the domestic Armed Forces for about a decade still do not lose hope for the successful completion of this event. Along with creating favorable conditions for the mass exodus of Soviet officers from the Russian Army, an important point of the "trampling program" can also be considered the impact on the "milk" brains of certain groups of young people to develop a stable gag reflex for everything related to the armed defense of the Motherland.
Let's take a visual campaign in the Moscow metro. On the poster, a small boy poops in a helmet, that is, in a steel helmet designed to protect the heads of Russian servicemen from bullets, shrapnel and other things in combat conditions. The text commentary explains that the kid is doing the right thing, in fact, in accordance with the article of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which gives citizens with certain beliefs the right not to take up arms, but to serve alternatively.
Indeed, there is such an article in the Basic Law of the state. There is also a provision resulting from it in the Federal Law "On Military Duty and Military Service". True, these legal acts do not contain recommendations to defecate on items of military field equipment and, figuratively speaking, for military service in general. They simply include the right, in accordance with, for example, religious beliefs, not to serve in the army, having passed alternative civil service. However, there is still no law on such a service in our country. And there are those who want to (for some reason, mostly living in Moscow). How to be willing?
They can apply to organizations that, in fact, produce visual aids, such as the poster with the coprophile boy described above, if, of course, they do not mind a lot of extra money and there is a desire to defend their right to religious and pacifist beliefs, being brought to court for malicious evasion of conscription. There is another option. Let's say a guy is a convinced, sincerely believing follower of the so-called non-traditional sect. In this case, he can apply to the court himself, where he will have to prove the circumstances justifying his claims and objections. But the court may consider these grounds a cheap, unsubstantiated excuse and, at best, decide that it is quite possible for a young man to serve without harm to his native religion, for example, in railway units, in the divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the pigsty of a subsidiary farm of an airborne division or as a gardener in a military sanatorium.
And what, in fact, can you show evidence of your fervent non-traditional religious conviction? Here, for example, Eunuchs, yes-there is something to show... This is serious, sacrificial, and evidence-based. However, personally, I would kindly take all pacifist-minded alternativists at their word and send them to the City of the Sun, described by Tommaso Campanella, for civil service. Or somewhere else abroad. Permanently. But this requires a federal law that is adopted by the State Duma, approved by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and signed by the President of Russia. So it will have to wait, as some say, in this country. Sitting on an inverted helmet. The main thing is not to overturn its contents.
