In 2025, Libmonster will finally be transformed into the World Network of National Participatory Libraries. The key word here is World. In fact, on the basis of Libmonster in 2025 it is planned to finally deploy the largest digital library in the history of mankind, consisting of national branches. This was announced by the project manager Vasily V. Smogorzhevsky.
Vasiliy Smogorzhevsky, Libmonster Manager:
- We are close to rolling out the Libmonster project network around the world. In 2025, library branches will open in dozens of countries around the world.
The focus will be on Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. We will also cover almost all countries of the former Soviet Union. In the spring and summer of 2025, Libmonster branches will open in Georgia, Armenia, and the Baltic States.
By the beginning of 2026, Libmonster will be more understandable to people who do not speak English or Russian: we plan to translate the system into Spanish, Hindi, Chinese and other major languages of the world.
The purpose of global expansion is to provide the peoples of the world with a tool for the free and unhindered exchange of scientific and literary information for the global development of mankind.
The false trend of the last decades to hide important and relevant scientific and other information from 99% of the world's population (through paid subscriptions, paid journals, artificial queues for publication, geographical discrimination, etc.), set by Western global players, must be broken: Libmonster was, is and will always be free of charge for both authors and consumers of information.
We invite state organisations from all over the world and private investors to participate in the development of the Libmonster World Library.
Deployment of the global network of the Libmonster International project will begin in April 2025. Stay tuned.
