The opening of the UK branch emphasises the cross-border nature of the project: Libmonster does not divide countries into friendly or unfriendly. The Libmonster team is committed to making sure that knowledge and information are spread around the world without restriction. It would be wonderful if the UK branch became one of the most powerful branches of the World Library.

Vasily V. Smogorzhevsky, Libmonster Project Manager:
- Opening a Libmonster branch in the UK is no longer just a declaration of intent. It is a concrete step, an important and well-considered decision.
It is no secret that in the last 10 years Libmonster has been developing primarily within the heir countries of the former USSR. But we have always tactfully and strongly said that Libmonster is a project for the whole of Humanity. In the last few years it has become definitively clear that the inhabitants of the western countries of the world are restricted from receiving important up-to-date scientific information. Moreover, in a number of countries that call themselves among the most advanced in the world, up to 95% of the population is unable to access relevant and important scientific and cultural information. Libmonster will help to solve this problem in the next few years.
Interestingly, during the testing of the British ‘daughter’ of Libmonster, the British branch had its first authors. For example, a scientist from India - Vartul Dixit - placed unique books on oceanography in the British branch of the World Library.
