E. V. KOVALEV. Genesis, Evolution and Some Specific Features of Latin American Agrarian Relations
Agrarian relations in Latin America have been formed under the impact of Spanish and Portuguese conquests, they were based on both pre-conquest type of relations and relations brought to the region by the Spaniards and Portuguese. Their most characteristic feature has become slave or serf dependence of the indigenous population which has slackened capitalist development in agriculture proceeding in more or less "Prussian" way. Concentration of land in the hands of few big landowners leads to the situation when the bulk of the peasantry has little or no land, they fight for land and new forms of production and social organisation in agriculture, against latifundism.

K. P. KORZHEVA. Problem of Early Christian Ideology in Soviet Historiography
The author proceeds from the Marxist-Leninist proposition that the emergence of early Christian ideology caused an ideological upheaval in the period of the collapse of the antique order in the Roman Empire (lst-2nd centuries) which was accompanied by the disintegration of the old ideology engendering an ideological struggle of the lower social strata against the ruling class. The author takes as her subject Soviet historiography of the question from the 1920s-1930s up to our day and notes that Soviet historians tend to regard early Christian ideology as a broad movement, as a passionate protest of the exploited freemen and slaves against the Empire, its ideology and morals, and as one of the forms of class struggle.
