... "Our Chemitka". So affectionately called the Air Force sanatorium "Chemitokvaje" pilots and cosmonauts. This year .this health resort is 65 years old. It is located in a unique part of Sochi in terms of its landscape and climatic conditions.

The health resort began its history with a small 75-bed recreation center at the Zhukovsky Air Force Academy.

During the war, the headquarters of the 5th Air Army of the Black Sea Group of Forces of the Transcaucasian Front was located here.

In 1955, after the introduction of a water pipeline running through a mountain pass, the health resort was expanded. Now it has become a holiday home "Chemitokvaje". Later it was converted into a sanatorium.

This is a brief history of the health resort that is now popular among military pilots.

Currently, the Chemitokvaje military sanatorium is a modern health resort with 725 beds, equipped with advanced diagnostic and medical equipment, where specialists of the Air Force are successfully treated and rehabilitated.

Our cosmonauts also like to relax and heal in Chemitokvadzh. Since Yuri Gagarin, almost all cosmonaut pilots have been here. And, according to many of them, they do not imagine any other rest. With good reason, we can say that the attractiveness of the sanatorium is not only in the climatic and balneological and other therapeutic factors - the clean sea, the beautiful cinder, where more than 300 plant species grow, the air saturated with healing aromas, but above all in the sincerity and care of the owners of the health resort - doctors, junior medical staff, technical and economic workers.
