Will truth be born in disputes, As people sometimes believe? Is there meaning in doubts, quarrels, And what does truth represent?
We learn about the world based on The knowledge we have gained ourselves, But what is incomprehensible, new, Is often rejected by us.
We expand our knowledge, Refine it, though long and difficult, And what we confirm with practice – We consider only this to be possible.
A coherent, clear theory (In our understanding) we build, We consider it most beautiful, Finding no slightest flaw.
But suddenly someone appears With a theory, incomprehensible to us, Subjecting to doubt our work, Tested many times.
Both are confident in success (For theories are without flaw), Ready even to fight without armor To defend their own, if necessary.
And if a third is added, A fourth, and a fifth, a tenth, There are many theories in the world, There won't be enough spears for the defenders.
A theory is a small facet, Its own construction, its laws. Next to it, another, slightly different, Though, in general, very similar.
The further others are from the first, The more differences will be found. Like facets they are, precisely so, But, in content, they are distinct.
Truth cannot be a facet, It is like a multifaceted crystal, Only this gives understanding Of it in a real representation.
In a crystal, the law of unity Of all planes, facets, particles With the laws of their construction In their mini and maxi differences.
Any idea, once born, Helps others to be born. In their growth lies the accumulation That brings us closer to truth.
The aggregate volume of all knowledge Forms a monolithic crystal, It represents the Absolute Ideal, The essence of Truth.
